What this covers

These terms set out the conditions for using the conversion tools on this site, and the limits of what the site is responsible for.

What the service is

• It is a calculator. It takes a figure you type in and converts it using the formulas published on the how-it-works page.
• The results are for interest and rough comparison. They are not what you can actually afford, not your income after tax, not an investment return, and not a bank balance.
• Some of the unit prices are assumptions chosen so the conversion works, not real market prices. Which is which is labelled on the price notes page.
• The live counter shows a time-proportional conversion. Money is not arriving while it runs.
• The inflation sandbox is not a forecast and not an official statistic.

No account, no collection

The service does not require a login or an account. What you type is processed in your browser and the operator of this site cannot see it.

Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the figures you enter.
• Do not enter or share someone else's income without their agreement. The comparison feature is built around nicknames for this reason.
• Do not hammer the service with automated requests in a way that interferes with it working normally.

Limits of responsibility

The site aims to be accurate, but it is not responsible for decisions you make on the basis of its output, or for the consequences of those decisions. It does not guarantee any financial return and does not give investment advice.

Where the site links out — to an advert, an affiliate link or a price source — the content and any transaction on that site are governed by that site’s own policies and responsibility.

Changes and interruptions

The operator may change the features, the item data and the formulas. When a formula changes, the how-it-works page is updated with it. The service may be unavailable for technical reasons.

Intellectual property

• The design, wording, icons and calculation logic belong to the operator.
• Fonts are used under their own licences (SIL Open Font License 1.1). Details are on the about page.
• Where a price has a source, that source holds its own rights; the site cites the value it checked and the date it checked it.
• Images you generate with the share feature are yours to use for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Advertising

The site may cover its running costs with advertising and affiliate links. Both are labelled as such. No result is ever placed behind an ad you have to watch.

Questions and governing law

Send questions through the contact page. The operator is based in the Republic of Korea, and these terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea. This is the same for every language version of the site — the English version does not place the service under another jurisdiction.
